This scholarship provides financial assistance to third-year and fourth-year law students who wish to advance equal rights and justice for LGBTQ individuals. Beth and her wife, Jennifer, opened where they primarily practice in the areas of estate planning, adoption, and assisted reproduction law, with a special emphasis on serving the LGBTQ and other minority communities. Prior to becoming a lawyer, Beth worked in a variety of capacities as an advocate for the elderly, for the developmentally disabled, and for homeless pets. No matter the endeavor, Beth has always enjoyed working closely with her clients to address the needs unique to each individual or family, and enjoys working in practice areas that enable her to maintain long-lasting relationships with her clients. Beth grew up in Portland, Oregon, and enjoys all that the Pacific Northwest has to offer.

Founded in January of , OGALLA was created as a statewide organization to support the needs of sexual minorities and gender non-conforming people in the legal profession. OGALLA stands with our Black community and communities of color across the nation in mourning the deaths at the hands of the police. Education and Outreach Committee — This committee works to educate a broad range of audiences through CLEs with a focus on LGBTQ issues and through educational outreach on civil and legal rights at events such as Pride. In , the Committee is working to host a CLE for juvenile law practitioners and social workers to address effective advocacy for LGBTQ youth in the foster care system.
